About
The Short Version
I work in data and BI. I'm not a software developer — but I've always known how to code. Now I'm using AI to ship real products. The kind of things that used to require a dev team or months of learning frameworks. I just build them.
Background
I graduated from UC Davis and ended up leading data and business intelligence at a manufacturing company. Digital transformation stuff — taking processes that lived in spreadsheets and tribal knowledge, and turning them into systems that actually work. Power BI, data pipelines, the works.
The Coding Story
I started writing code earlier than most people in business roles. Back in 2013, I wrote Python scripts at a winery to automate tasks nobody wanted to do manually. Around 2014, I was building Twitter bots for fun — nothing serious, just scratching that itch.
I never stopped. But I also never became a developer. The gap between "I can code" and "I can ship software" was huge. AI closed that gap. Now when I see a problem and think "I could build that," I actually can.
Side Quests
From my winery days, I picked up a WSET Level 2 certification — turns out working around wine makes you want to understand wine. I can tell you more about Burgundy than you probably want to know.
In 2025, I became a YNAB Certified Coach. I've been a YNAB power user for years, and I finally made it official. This is why Budget-Inbox exists — I understand the pain point because I lived it.
I'm also scuba certified, which has nothing to do with anything except that it's the kind of thing you learn when you're the type of person who can't stop picking up new skills.
Why This Site
I'm building in public. This site is proof of what happens when domain expertise meets coding ability meets AI. I'm not pretending to be a developer. I'm showing what's possible now for people who understand their problems well enough to solve them.
Every project here started with a real problem I wanted to fix. If you're the same kind of person — someone with deep expertise who has always wished they could just build the thing — we should talk.
